The Usher Gallery is one of the region’s premier art galleries. It opened in 1927 displaying art from James Usher’s extensive collection. It has continued to grow and you can now view work by celebrated artists including Turner, Constable, Lowry and Grayson Perry.

Indigo Crow is an artist-led space run by a small group of professional Lincolnshire based artists. They bring a wealth of experience in painting, ceramics, glass making, felting & textile art, jewellery and more.

Showing mostly weekly shows featuring a wide range of artists.
It’s owned by Phil Bowman a stalwart of Lincoln’s art scene.

IncLLinC Gallery and Studio is the latest addition to Lincoln’s growing art scene. It specialises in works by emerging artists alongside works by artists who face significant barriers to entering the main stream art world.

A fabulous jewel in Lincoln’s Medieval crown, the Gallery is housed in a half timbered Grade II listed building.
It is run by a diverse group of artists and makers who are responsible for the staffing and daily functioning of the Gallery and help to promote the arts throughout the region by featuring contemporary art, jewellery, and unique handcrafted work in a wide range of materials.

The Ropewalk is a regionally acclaimed centre for the arts housing galleries, a sculpture garden and a coffee shop.

Located in Wickenby, just outside Lincoln, The Rickyard is a beautiful purpose built exhibition space also used for artist workshops. It’s one of the venues on the Creative Lincs Art Trail which takes place annually.

Union Street Gallery is dedicated to uplifting local art and artists, as well as celebrating art in all its forms. They host many workshops ran by talented artists, and community arts table which is open and free to use for anyone.

Based in Sleaford, the Carre Gallery is a splendid venue for two dimensional art. It was opened in 2010 as a result of collaboration between a local businessman and the late Windham Hime, a professional artist and photographer. It is now operated by the Sleaford Gallery Arts Trust, a registered charity. Everyone involved in the gallery’s operation and management is a volunteer.
