James Tovey:
I continue to develop my drawing and painting from classes and workshops I tutor. Also while designing embroidery kits, I make paintings and sculptural maquettes to help in the process. Studies at the Byam Shaw School of Art led into academic illustration and then working as a professional photographer. I’ve also trained and worked in the traditional boatbuilding industry. More recently, as well as my art and design practice, I have been busy making bespoke designed outdoor spaces including a spectacular observatory.
